Ruud van Nistelrooy is considered to be one of the greatest strikers of his generation, known for his clinical finishing, movement in the box, and ability to score goals from all angles and distances. 

Van Nistelrooy began his professional career with Dutch side Den Bosch in 1993, before moving on to Heerenveen and then to Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in 1998. He enjoyed great success at PSV, scoring 62 goals in 67 league appearances, before earning a big-money move to Manchester United in 2001. 

During his five seasons at United, Van Nistelrooy scored an incredible 150 goals in 219 appearances, helping the club win the Premier League title three times and reaching the Champions League final in 2003. He later went on to play for Real Madrid and Hamburg before retiring in 2012. 

Van Nistelrooy was also a key player for the Dutch national team, scoring 35 goals in 70 appearances and representing his country at two World Cups and two European Championships.
